SPORTS-RELIEF
This year we are really excited to be raising money for Sport Relief 2016! As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise cash and change lives.
Sport Relief 2016 will be kicking off in schools and nurseries on Friday 18th March.
The Newbrige School has decided to get involved and help raise money for this incredible cause.
To do our bit and raise money we will be having a:

NON-UNIFORM DAY (CLOTHES SHOULD BE OF A SPORTS THEME)
&

“HOW FAR WILL #TEAMNEWBRIDGE TRAVEL? – RUNNING CHALLENGE”

on FRIDAY 18 MARCH

STUDENTS WHO WISH TO WEAR SPORTS NON-UNIFORM MUST BRING £1.00 MINIMUM DONATION IN TO SCHOOL ON TUESDAY 15th , WEDNESDAY 16th OR THURSDAY 17th MARCH 2016
YOU CAN SPONSOR OUR RUNNERS AT https://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/Newbridge
STUDENTS CAN ENTER A PRIZE DRAW FOR A £10 GIFT VOUCHER BY GUESSING HOW MANY MILES #TEAMNEWBRIDGE WILL COMPLETE – EACH GUESS WILL COST £1.00 VIA THE SCHOOL COUNCIL REPS
The best bit is, the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. To learn more about how Comic Relief spends the money raised for Sport Relief please visit sportrelief.com/schools.
We will also be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity so that our students can learn about the issues children across the world face, and how the money we raise can help them.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping our school raise lots of money for Sport Relief!
