On Thursday 6th July and Friday 7th July Year 6 pupils who will join Newbridge next academic year will spend time at Newbridge to get to know their new class, tutor and have a taste of their new school.
Extensive transition has already begun between schools so we know quite a lot about the children already, especially if your child has special needs of any kind.
On the evening of the Thursday 6th July there will be a parent’s information evening for families (see below).
On the two days the children will:
- Go to an assembly with the Headteacher, Mr Goacher
- Spend Tutor Time with their new tutor in the tutor base
- Have lessons where they get to know other children in their new class
- Go to break and lunch before the older students
- Have exclusive use of the Adventure Playground
- Be accompanied by Year 8 escorts who will help them to know where to go and answer any questions.
Students who will use the school bus at the start of next term can use the school bus free of charge on the two days with stops at:
- The Co-Op (formally the Rose & Crown) 8:15am
