Average 5 hours per week (260 including holiday’s – hours mainly evenings during term time)

Grade 11 £33,305 to £33,847 pa pro rota (13.51% FTE)



The Board of Trustees of Apollo Partnership Trust is looking to appoint a highly organised and self-motivated Clerk to join our Multi-Academy Trust, based in North West Leicestershire.

The MAT will initially be formed by the convergence of 3 Single Academies Trusts, Castle Rock High School Academy, Newbridge High School Academy and Broom Leys Primary School.

Accountable to the Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Clerk will be responsible for liaison with the Clerk to the Local Governing Bodies of the schools, and will cover on average 20 Multi-Academy Trust Board meetings, including committee meetings plus Members meetings.

Meetings are generally held on a weekday late afternoon/early evening, however, there will be occasional committee meetings held during the school day by prior arrangement. Meetings will be held at the premises of the Academies within the MAT. Meetings last on average of 2 to 2.5 hours each. The role is paid as a part time post and includes administrative duties, support for the Chair and the clerking of all meetings.

Excellent organisation, communication and ICT skills are essential, as is the ability to take accurate minutes of meetings. You will have an interest in education, be reliable and able to observe confidentiality requirements. Previous experience of Clerking within an academy would be desirable but is not essential.

Apart from the formal governor and committee meetings, the remainder of the role is relatively flexible with some home working, depending on the needs of the Chair.  Access to a computer and the internet is essential.
