Admission Arrangements

For student admissions in September 2018

The whole school is open for tours, with a chance to meet all teachers including tutors of the new Year 7.

There will be lots of students in classrooms on the evening, proud to demonstrate their learning. The Headteacher, Mr Goacher, will speak to parents about how special Newbridge is and the quality of the education it provides.

At the open evening you can visit the DROP IN ROOM (PC4). This will be an opportunity to meet with Senior Staff, the Pastoral Manager for your child’s year, and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator.  You can talk 1:1 about your child and ask any questions you like about any aspect of the school.

Tour the school with student tour guides and see us operating on a normal working day.

Meet with senior staff to ask any questions before and after the tour.

Phone school to make an appointment or use the return slip provided.

If you cannot make it on these occasions we can arrange for you to come at another time.

Newbridge holds an open evening early on in the autumn term; this is for potential parents and students to view what Newbridge has to offer, in regards to it’s teaching and learning, our great range of facilities that are on offer and the opportunity to meet with senior staff, tutors and students.

In addition to our open evening, Newbridge offers guided tours, where student tour guides will show you around the school and see us operating on a normal working day. There will also be an opportunity to meet with senior staff to ask any questions.

If you cannot make any of these occasions then Newbridge always welcomes visits at another time, just get in touch with us to arrange this.

For the academic year 2016-17 Newbridge had 180 places available in Year 7.

The total intake for the year was 174 of whom 31 were out of area children who had expressed a preference for Newbridge.  The Local Authority granted all of these requests.
